She has combined her experiences as a Case Manager for Missoula Early Head Start and as a CSCT Therapist at Hellgate Elementary with the attachment-focused model of PFC to help families heal and grow. Stacey believes in the strength and resiliency of all children, the power of hope, and the impact of healthy relationships in healing.

  • Katie Karas, MSW

    Family Care Therapist

    (406) 543-5531 // kkaras@pfcmt.org

Katie relocated back to Missoula after receiving her Masters of Social Work at the University of Washington. Her studies focused on clinical social work with adults and youth who have experienced complex trauma. Prior to that Katie worked for a local wilderness therapy program where she helped adolescents unlock their potential to achieve and form healthy relationships with their families, peers, and other care providers. Her other experiences in the social service field include working as a counselor at a short-term group home for adolescents and providing direct care and case management services at a homeless shelter. Katie’s therapeutic style emphasizes building upon the intrinsic strengths of youth she is working with and taking a trauma-informed view of behaviors and emotions. In her free time Katie likes to take her dog on long hikes, ski, bake, and garden.
