Foster parents must attend 18 hours of orientation and pre-service training, as well as an additional 15 hours of training directly related to the special needs of youth receiving treatment in a family environment. A total of 33 classroom training hours are required to receive a therapeutic foster care license through Partnership for Children.
Partnership for Children hosts Therapeutic Foster Care Training every spring and fall in Missoula and in Polson (see current session information). If you are interested in attending a training and can not make our pre-scheduled session, please let us know and we are willing to work within your schedule to offer the training to you at another time.
