Ali holds an MSW from the University of Montana and is trained in EMDR and TFCBT that she integrates with a relational approach. Her specialties are grief and loss, trauma, and attachment. Her experience includes work with adjudicated youth and their families in inner-city Baltimore, multiple years in Montana working with youth and adults in crisis shelters, and as a hospital and Hospice social worker in Sanders County before joining Partnership for Children. “I am trained as a Reiki Master and interested in how the body and mind work together; this has informed how I incorporate somatic healing and movement in to my therapeutic work. When I’m not working, I spend most of my time with family and neighbors. My son is an easy going and really funny toddler; he enjoys taking things out of boxes, so I spend a lot of time putting things back in boxes. We also like to canoe on and swim in the Flathead River.”
