Shannon was born and raised in Missoula. He grew up around his family's business and is currently the owner of Flanagan Motors Mazda. With deep ties to the community he grew up in, Shannon enjoys serving on the partnership for children board, seeing the value in investing time in community and children. A resident of the Rattlesnake valley he lives with his wife Lisa and their two children Connor and Sloan.
Matthew Hobbs is an Account Executive in the Commercial Sales Division of PayneWest Insurance, Inc. Matt graduated from the University of Montana in 1998 with a BA in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management and Finance and a MBA in Business Management and Finance in 2005. Matt and his wife Tiffany, an elementary school teacher, reside in Missoula with their 3 children. In his free time you can find Matt volunteering in the community and spending time with his family.
Deidre earned her degree in Business Administration from Montana State University. The past several years have been filled with raising her three children along side her husband. Now, Deidre and her husband are enjoying the life of “Empty Nesters”. As a long-time Missoula resident, Deidre loves to partake in all the community has to offer: skiing at Snowbowl, shopping at the Saturday morning Farmer’s Market, listening to Music and dining outdoors in Cara’s Park, and much more. Deidre stays physically active by attending Hot Yoga classes and taking her dog on hikes up Mount Jumbo and mentally active through her participation in book club. To unwind, Deidre enjoys watching TV crime shows.
Lou brings extensive business management and marketing experience to the board, currently handling marketing and sales for a small software company based in Chicago. He has been involved in community service for many years, starting as a Director of the Northfield, IL, Park District and the Music Institute of Chicago, along with coaching and managing many youth sports organizations. Lou started working with the Partnership for Children several years ago, organizing activities such as an annual ski trip and holiday breakfast with the children and staff as President of the Missoula Sunrise Rotary club. Lou received his BA from Hamilton College and graduate degrees from the University of Montana and The George Washington University. He lives in Missoula with his wife Lila and two sons, Riley and Colin, and two dogs.
Dan Semmens is a partner in the Missoula, Montana office of Dorsey & Whitney LLP, where he has been an attorney in the Firm’s Public Finance Group since 2001. Prior to joining Dorsey & Whitney LLP, Mr. Semmens practiced in Portland, Oregon, where he served for a time as Assistant Attorney General and Special Assistant Attorney General to the State of Oregon. Mr. Semmens has served on the Partnership for Children board of directors since 2009.
Jackie Wedell joined the Board to extend her life’s work with children. She is a retired pediatric/child clinical psychologist. She was initially in private practice in Missoula (a long time ago) and has also worked as an administrator of school special services and as a school psychologist. Jackie and her husband recently returned to Montana, truly the last best place, to retire.
Stacy Hunt has more than a decade of experience developing, managing, and implementing marketing communications and strategic partnership programs for government, corporate, and nonprofit clients. Stacy has a unique knowledge of the energy and environmental building industry, government programs, and other resources that allows her to quickly implement new program goals and objectives. Stacy acts as a senior consultant and project manager, and provides marketing communications strategy consulting, partnership development, communications system design and management, and editorial services through Confluence Communications. When not in the office, Stacy can be found in her gardens, with her two fabulous boys, or experimenting with cheese making and charcuterie.
