Bethany is a bright and joyful 11 year old girl. She loves her people fiercely and is proud of those she calls friends. Bethany has loads of cat music on her MPS player and will light up if you ask her about it. Bethany enjoys school. Her favorite classes are math, music, library and art. Bethany feels most comfortable when there is one way to get things done, but has practiced trusting lots of paths to help solve a problem.   She comes alive playing music, coloring/drawing and talking with her stuffies. She gets lost in her own world of reading, creating and imagination but will be happy to create space for others or just sit and do nothing next to her people. When it comes to materials for creating crafts, Bethany is endlessly resourceful. She enjoys playing little pranks on others to make them laugh. If you happen to be on the receiving end of Bethany’s humor, it most likely means she feels comfortable around you. Bethany is a deep thinker and will share those deep thoughts with those close to her. Bethany loves to learn about her Fort Peck Tribes, tell stories and ask about others. Bethany enjoys caring for her pet fish, Chamber, and feels a lot of pride for that.  Bethany is highly conscientious of those around her, sometimes not recognizing that she deserves the same consideration she gives to others. People close to Bethany describe her as trustworthy, gentle, honest, forgiving, delicate and brave. Bethany jumps at opportunities to help adults make dinner and will be more than happy to share a few jokes or tell you about a story she’s writing. Lately, Bethany has been practicing sewing her dolls new clothes and making them furniture. She is the only person known to play her recorder while swinging upside down. And her wall is full of imagination doodles. Bethany is understanding.  She is careful.  She cares deeply about encouraging her peers and having positive relationships with others.
